Bangalore, Jan 26 (PTI) A fire broke out in a mall in the upmarket Koramangala area here this evening forcing evacuation of thousands of people from the place but there was no casualty.
Fire broke out at a food-court in one of the upper floors due to suspected short-circuit -- perhaps spread by a gas leak -- and smoke engulfed the entire mall, leading to panic as people scurried out of the mall, police said.
"There were no casualties", DCP (South), S Ravi, told PTI. "All the people were evacuated. There is not a single person inside the mall".
"The fire has been put out", sources said. PTI
